Overview

Short-stay Schengen visa for tourism, visits or short business trips in Portugal/the Schengen area, typically up to 90 days in any 180-day period. It does not grant residence.

Eligibility requirements

  • Short-stay purpose (tourism, visiting family/friends or short business), with no intention to reside.
  • Have means of subsistence and accommodation for the duration of the stay.
  • Hold Schengen travel insurance with the minimum required coverage.
  • Demonstrate intention to return / ties to the country of origin or residence.
