Visión general

For non-EU citizens who work remotely for entities outside Portugal.

Requisitos de elegibilidad

  • Carry out professional activity remotely for entity/entities or client(s) domiciled or based outside Portugal.
  • Employee

    Provide an employment contract or employer declaration proving the employment relationship.
  • Self-employed / freelancer

    Provide a partnership agreement, services contract, or document proving services rendered to one or more entities.
  • Minimum average monthly income of €3,680, calculated from income earned in the last 3 months.
  • Prove tax residence outside Portugal at the time of application.
  • Have sufficient means of subsistence.
  • Have accommodation arrangements in Portugal.
  • Meet the general entry and residence conditions, including no legal bar to entering/staying in Portugal.

  • Valid passport or other travel document, valid for at least 3 months beyond the intended stay. Copy of the passport biographical page
  • If applying in a country other than the country of nationality, proof of lawful status in that country (Opcional)
  • Criminal record certificate from the country of nationality or from the country where the applicant has lived for more than one year
  • Authorisation/request to consult the Portuguese criminal record
  • Valid travel insurance covering urgent medical assistance and possible repatriation
  • Proof of accommodation arrangements in Portugal
  • Proof of means of subsistence
